About Us

Starting from the fact that cultural heritage in multiethnic communities is recognised as the means of communication and respect in a civilized way, along with the fact that historical experience is passed from generation to generation, ʺThe young and heritage – tradition and future in the cross-border region – HERINFUTURʺ was created with a purpose to make the cultural heritage of the cross-border region more accessible and comprehensible to the younger population of Csongrád – Csanád county, as the target group of the project.

Cultural heritage offers people the connection with particular social values, beliefs, religions and customs. It enables the identification with a similar way of thinking and origin. It gives the automatic feeling of unity and belonging to the group and it realizes a better understanding of the previous generations and the historical area, from which we come from. The other benefit by the gained maintenance of the cultural heritage is, in general, the community support. The ones who are closely identified with the particular heritage, more than oGen, try to help the others in the same community. Cultural identity relies on the memory of a community and individuals: that being crucial for the identity, benefit, making decisions and acting. Cultural and creative sectors are the important incentives and social inclusions and economic growth. The investment in these sectors creates an interdisciplinary dialogue in multicultural societies and stimulates the opening of new posts in the sectors of culture and tourism. Investing in cultural heritage, on the one hand, offers the feeling of belonging, however, on the other hand, it, simultaneously, gives energy and inspiration for creativity and investment in the maintaining development of the region. Material or non-material cultural heritage surely helps local and regional development via the greater social connection, just as via tourism, education and employment connection.
